It was a feeling/mental state I have experienced before and instead of fighting through it, I gave in and quit. Oh well, I am not doubting my decision, but I think I could have stuck it out and it probably would have passed. It was a fun time while I was out there though.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12491821023009467417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8686683356588727777.post-19786420430902364952013-12-18T23:23:39.174-05:002013-12-18T23:23:39.174-05:00Bummer 'bout the DNF, Jesse, but dang, I gotta...Bummer 'bout the DNF, Jesse, but dang, I gotta say it sounds like you ran a pretty great pace for the part you did do. Your first lap was a full 15 minutes faster than mine, and I felt like I was moving along pretty good at that point. Anyway, I know some days the desire just isn't all there. Sorry it had to be on race day, though. By the way, I agree that clothing was challenging for this one; it's a rare race where I actually chilled down enough to want to put clothes back ON later in the day!
